What is a toy library?

A toy library is where you can borrow toys for children.

What age range do you cover?

We have toys in our library for children from 0 to 5 years old in Cape Town & close surrounds.

CAN I RENEW A SPECIFIC TOY?

Sometimes a child just loves a toy so much that they want to play with it for a bit longer. Please let us know 2 weeks before the monthly exchange date that, you would like to renew a specific toy for another month.

How do I suggest a toy for the library?

If there is a specific toy you think would be perfect for our library please send us a email with the name and brand of the toy.

CAN I BUY A TOY FROM THE LIBRARY?

We encourage renting toys, but if you would like to buy a specific toy, we will sell it to you at a discounted rate. Please let us know 2 weeks before the monthly exchange date that you would like to buy a toy.

Can I gift a toy library membership?

All our toy library membership options can be gift purchases. On checkout please make sure to tick the gift purchase box as the purchase will be a once-off and will not auto-renew.

Can I rent toys for a party?

Renting toys for a party is a once-off purchase. We offer a variety of options to choose from. We will deliver the toys to the party location an hour before the party and collect it an hour after the party. Members receive R100 discount on all birthday parties.

Can I pick toys myself?

Based on your child’s age and your input we curate a box of toys for your child.

What happens if a toy is missing or lost?

As parents, we know that sometimes (although not very often), toys or toy pieces go missing. When you notice something is missing please let us know immediately. We will give you some time to locate what’s missing. If the toy with a missing piece is still functional without the missing piece we might decide to not charge you for replacing the part. If the missing piece makes the toy unusable, you may be asked to pay for its replacement. If you can’t find a toy that went missing, you may be asked to pay for its replacement.

What happens if a toy is broken?

Please let us know if a toy is broken and please do not repair any toys, or replace any pieces yourself. If a toy was broken due to reasons other than fair wear and tear a repair a replacement fee will be applicable.

MEMBERSHIP QUESTIONS

Do I have to pay a deposit?

A R300 refundable deposit is required for each plan. The deposit is refunded to you when your plan ends and all toys are returned in their original condition.

Can I cancel at any time?

Members may cancel their membership with 2 weeks’ notice. Any toys that are still rented to you must be returned before we can cancel your account.

When will I be billed for my subscription?

You will be billed the day that you subscribe. Your next payment will be automatically scheduled for the same day of each following month.

Can I change my subscription?

You may upgrade/downgrade your plan at anytime.
